Huacachina

Also known as the “Oasis of America,” Huacachina is located just 20 minutes from the city of Ica. It has an average size of 100 meters long by 80 meters wide, with a central depth of 10 meters. The color of its waters is a stunning emerald green, making it ideal for pedal boating.

The lagoon is surrounded by a vast desert, towering sand dunes, lush vegetation, walkways, and a variety of hotels and restaurants. It is home to diverse wildlife, including mucas, patillos, American sparrows, lizards, wasps, water worms, and nocturnal butterflies. Its flora includes toñuz, grass, palm trees, rushes, totora reeds, and huarangos.
