The Cahuachi Ceremonial Center

The Cahuachi Ceremonial Center, whose name translates to “place where the seers live,” is located in the Grande River valley, near Nazca, Peru. It was an important ceremonial center of the Nazca culture (200 BC – 600 AD), composed of adobe structures such as pyramids and plazas. Used for rituals related to fertility and agriculture, its connection with the Nazca Lines enhances its spiritual significance. Excavations have revealed ceramics, textiles, and mummies, highlighting its cultural wealth. Although it was abandoned around 400 AD, likely due to climatic phenomena, it remains a fascinating archaeological destination. Located 28 km from Nazca, it is an unmissable site for exploring pre-Inca history.
